Although it is impossible to change the basic structure of the room such as placements of the door and windows, however you can place room accessories in such a way that best complement the overall look of the entire house.

Arrange in odd number groupings:

While arranging the room accessories, always use odd number such as one, three, five, seven, and so on. You can get inspiration of arranging the room accessories from different magazines. These magazines will provide you all necessary details, and also the sizes, shapes, colors, and use of odd numbers in grouping the room accessories.

Accessorize properly:

When accessorizing the room, do not overdo it as enough is good. If you display too many items then it will look like clutter. Instead of displaying all of your decorative items at a time, it is better to select items carefully and rotate different decoration pieces every few weeks to a month. This will result in the most visual impact out of the items that you want to display.

Use appropriate sizes:

You can display your collectibles in two ways.

i) Symmetrical – In a symmetrical display, everything is of the same size and color. This type of display works best in modern, simple, or elegant style of decorating.

ii) Asymmetrical – In an asymmetrical display, the accessories are arranged in such a way that the different sizes can cause the eye to flow elegantly over each object when entering the room. This type of display works best in a more informal or contemporary situation.

Display your favorite items:

It is important to display things that you love and that are your all time favorite. Displaying accessories need not to be for your guests only. They are for you to enjoy and to decorate the place in a way you love.

Accessorize one space at a time:

Do not be in a hurry while decorating the room, take your time and think about the placement of the objects. It is best to remove all accessories and start placing them all over again. Place your favorite item first, then step back and have a look on it and then place another item.
